Sheng Hen Pao

Post by G.Andore »

Hello, im new here and since this is a website where i go pretty often and since people here seems to be pretty knowledable about video games i have something here:

I am a collector and about a year ago i went to a flea market near where i live and there was this cartridge there where it was written "Strip Poker" on it. I looked at my twin brother and i said "Did you see this cartridge, the one where it's written "Strip Poker" on it. Maybe it's "Peek-A-Boo Poker" !. So, i bought it for 5$ and when i came back home to play it, the game was even more weird than i thought.

Then today, i went to a local video game store and the guy who works there is one of my big brothers best friend. I went there to trade a few games and i placed this one there with the intention of trading it. When the guy (let's call him Pete), When looked at it...he semmed very intrigued. He played it and said: "I wouldn't trade it if i were you, this thing looks extremely rare. He did a bit of research and told me that the real title is "Sheng Hen Pao" and it was released by Bit. Corp and a company named "Majoy". The only thing that i found about it were these screenshots of the game, no cartridge photos, no manual...nothing.

So i am asking you racketboys and racketgirls do you know more about this game. Is the sticker where it's written "Strip Poker" on it was placed there by the guys at Bit Corps or was it the guy who had it before me who placed it there ?

Is it rare ? Like, REALLY rare ? Because it's not listed ANYWHERE wether it's ebay or Nintendo Age.

It's often referred to as Twin Loud Dragon. It's an unlicensed pirate poker game, which is incomplete, as in it just stops after you win a set amount. It's like 7-card poker but with double or nothing added and a woman who undresses for pixely nakedy-ness. I guess it could be rare, but I've never heard of anyone really caring about it.

Well, that explains why the game stops when the round is over.

Another question: The sticker with the word "Strip Poker" written on it. Is this the real cover or somebody maybe peeled the real one off and replaced it with the sticker ?

I'm just guessing someone peeled it off to not get caught by their parents or significant other.

Hang on to it, seems cool to own.

Seems pretty neat and rare find, I would also hang on to that.

Certainly hang on to it even if it isn't worth money it probably is pretty uncommon and it has a cool story.

Well, i think i'll keep it then ! About the sticker on it, i am starting to think more and more that it IS the real cover. When i put my thumb on it, it doesn't feel sticky at all around the sticker and there's no trace of anything that was on it before. I live in the province of Quebec, so my guess is that the guy who had it probably bought it in Montreal, in the chinatown my guess is that it went something like this:

*Guy walking around in Chinatown sometimes in the 90's*

*Chinese guy comes out of nowhere*

Chinese man : You ! Yes, you come over here. You like Nintendo ? Mario Bros. ? I have what you need.

*Shows him table full of NES games, then the man sees this game*

Guy: What's this ?

Chinese: oooh, That's Strip Poker ! Good game, fun, great fun with breast in it.

Guy: Breasts ?

Chinese: Yes !

Guy: SOLD !

*Guy plays it, it sucks pawns it when on a strip to where i live*
