Sonic Colors

Post by rbelmont000 »

What the hell? I've been playing this game for an hour and a half and I still can't understand why I'm enjoying a new Sonic game.

But man, it's good.

It almost seems like a followup to Sonic the Hedgehog 2. It's simple, pretty, fast, and fun. It's got enough difficulty to make it interesting (and it may get harder later), but the level of difficulty gradually rises at a perfect rate.

I will say, Sonic fans, I have never really liked this series (besides the fantastic Sonic 2 and Sonic Adventure), but this game is pretty great.

Colors is brilliant. I adore it.

And yet, Generations is even better, by a wide margin.

Once you finish Colors, be sure to play Generations.

I THOUGHT that I played the demo for Generations and I didn't really think anything of it. But when you mentioned it, I watched a trailer and I don't know what I thought I played, because it looks like an HD Sonic 2.

Which is fantastic.

And after watching more gamplay of Generations it looks fantastic. Have you ever played the DS version of Colors? (I should have clarified that I am playing the wii game) I heard it is really good as well.

The DS version is pretty awesome, its all 2d super fast sonic action. It can be a bit of a challenge as well, definitely worth picking up.

I'm definitely going to be picking up Generations for the 3DS. Glad I snagged Generations on the consoles while it was on sale for only $15 at newegg - game is a blast! I didn't even know there was a lil' commemorative statue to go along with it, just got one off eBay for a mere $20.

The DS Sonic Colours is good, but I preferred Sonic Rush for the same console. The Sonic games on GBA are good too, as is the one for Neo Geo Pocket Colour.
