Hi,
I've been having one particular issue with my Super Street Fighter II cart since I got. I have a model 1 Genny if needed for any reference. When I first got the game, it took a few tries before I got anything displayed...when I finally did, I got the usual licensing screen, a brief pause, and then the screen turns orange.
I've cleaned the contacts a number of times, opened the cart and gave the rest of the chip a good cleaning, and still end up with the same result. The plus side is that I'm getting the license screen flawlessly the first time I pop the cart in.
I've cleaned the contacts on the Genny as well, however the issue has been isolated to just the SSF2 cartridge.
Wondering if anyone has any thoughts on what the issue may be?
Thanks
Genesis orange screen?
Re: Genesis orange screen?
Are the rest of your carts working good? I have a decent amount of games, but for some reason my TMNT Hyperstone Heist freezes in about 10 to 20 minutes every-time. I since decided to just replace the cart since all my other ones work great. SSF2 is cheap, just buy a different cart and see if you have the same result. I know carts are supposed to last for ever but every once in awhile we could just have a bad cart.

It could totally be a bad cart, though it saddens me to say. All my other carts work fine, just this one that's acting up. I saw someone who reported the same issue with their SSF2 rom on an everdrive of theirs. And multiple things I read on that thread touting the everdrive now supporting SSF2 led me to believe that maybe there was something about the game that wouldn't play nice with older systems, etc.bryan_65 wrote:Are the rest of your carts working good?
