Gamecube Help!
After some time waiting and searching for the best deal ever I finally took it upon myself to purchase Nintendo's Gamecube. Looking at the device sit on my floor all I can think to myself is: So What Now? I feel like I have most of these games excluding first party of course, for my PS2. Have I really seen the light having after being left out in the dark for so long or am I kidding myself here? It seems like a pretty neat little system but maybe my resources are limited now since its a dead system. Even Gamestop has stopped selling Cube games. If you guys can help point me in the right direction in what to do with my Gamecube that would be sweet. Thanks.

We're not talking anything first party right?
go buy Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2 and 3. Your Gamecube will thank you. (If you can only buy one, get 3)

Re: Gamecube Help!
Great Gamecube 3rd-party exclusives? Let me be your guide.
Baten Kaitos
Billy Hatcher and the Giant Egg
Chaos Field
Cubivore
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles
Geist
Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life (Disregarding the PS2 special edition)
Killer 7 (GC Version is better)
Resident Evil 4 (No one cares about the PS2 version)
Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes
Phantasy Stor Online Ep. 1, 2, 3 (Best version of the games)
P.N.03
Resident Evil Remake
Star Wars Rogue Leader
Super Monkey Ball 1&2
Tales of Symphonia
Viewtiful Joe 1&2 (Once again, GC version is superior)
That should be a good start.

Well play those darn first party games. That's what the gamecube is for! Once you get sick of that, Eternal Darkness is classy horror that's apparently actually scary.

Yeah, just go for the 1st party stuff before anything else. The Cube's 1st-party games are unparalleled. First on your shopping list: Wind Waker. Buy it, play it, love it. That is your homework.Valkyrie-Favor wrote:Well play those darn first party games. That's what the gamecube is for! Re: Gamecube Help!
Also getting a Cube this year and getting games as we *speak*, here's what I got. If you like older game collections, this is great.
Pinball Hall of Fame: The Gottlieb Collection
The Simpsons Hit & Run
Soul Calibur II
Super Monkey Ball
Super Monkey Ball 2
Ikaruga
Intellivision Lives!
Midway Arcade Treasures 2
Mega Man Anniversary Collection
Don't forget that the GameCube also has the GameBoy Player which allows you to play GB, GBC, and Game Boy Advance titles right on the Cube.

Eternal Darkness is a first party game. It's also one of the best games ever. Sanity effects FTW.Valkyrie-Favor wrote:Well play those darn first party games. That's what the gamecube is for! Once you get sick of that, Eternal Darkness is classy horror that's apparently actually scary.

Also, grab the 'Cube version of Twilight Princess. MUCH better in my opinion.pvt_awol wrote:Agreed. And I'm one of the fans that absolutely LOVED the graphics style of this game.lisalover1 wrote: First on your shopping list: Wind Waker. Buy it, play it, love it. That is your homework.
If you like Harvest Moon, I'd suggest Magical Melody over A Wonderful Life. AWL gets really dragging through the second and third years of the game, and I never personally finished it. Magical Melody has a clean and fun gameplay style, with a chibi looking graphic style. The game feels like a good combination of the classic farming I love, and the social aspects some others love, especially newer fans of the series.

Chibi-Robo... 'nuff said.
The Pikmin games, Fire Emblem, and Battalion Wars are lots of fun and Ikaruga and Gotcha Force are solid 3rd party games but a bit more expensive.
