Kickstarter project with a fake genesis cartridge CE
I have no idea if the game will be good or not, but I almost feel like donating just to get that kick ass cartridge

Volgarr the Viking - retro 16-bit style action arcade game
A couple of former colleagues of mine are working on a cool 16-bit action arcade game in the vein of Rastan and Ghouls n' Ghosts. They are running a Kickstarter to help fund it, as they are both working on it full time. They are both super talented and packed to the brim with passion for old school games. Please check out their Kickstarter and help out if you like what you see.

I wish it were an actual Genesis ROM instead of a USB drive.
But I'm glad that guys like these are here to make new "16-bit style" action games.

Honestly, that game doesn't look too bad. I may back it for $10.
Is it bad that I was thinking of not backing it in hopes that it will be featured in a future Steam sale?

Yes, but not your fault. Steam's basically conditioning people to only buy games on sale, which is not a good thing at all in my opinion.SpaceBooger wrote:Is it bad that I was thinking of not backing it in hopes that it will be featured in a future Steam sale?

Making a game like this would be a lot harder&time consuming then and cutscene graphics, music/sound quality etc would be more limited. Still, I'm all in for homebrew games.retrozombieslayer wrote:I just wish it were an actual Genesis cart.

Steam is basically Gamestop for PC gamers, but doesn't get nearly as much hateRyaNtheSlayA wrote:Yes, but not your fault. I like this quote from the video
"Going from dying all the time, to achieving flawless playthrough, which just is impossible in most modern games"
Amen to that.
