OK, so Olympic fever is sweeping the UK, and possibly the world right now. My fiancee is into her sport and she wants an Olympic-themed game and although I could just get her the Mario & Sonic games, is there actually any games that are still worth playing once the games have long gone? I recall International Track & Field getting good scores on the N64 but I've never played it.
My consoles are Mega Drive, N64, Dreamcast, Gamecube, Wii, GBA, DS.

Re: Olympic games
Get her a C64, a joystick and any sports game (Winter and summer games are the most famous sports games based on olympics I think) and tell her to turn it on hard. It's better exercise than modern sports games
NES and SMS have plenty of games like that too, as long as you play it on a joystick rather than standard d-pad
There's a game called Olympic Summer Games on Mega Drive

Why don't those bloody businesses pay for it? Since it's all one large corporate circle-jerk event.ZeroAX wrote:Good luck paying for the gamesRazzmatazz wrote:OK, so Olympic fever is sweeping the UK,
I would mention DecAthlete for the Saturn anyway.

Re: Olympic games
Ugh, the olympics suck. It's nearly always a pompous and overblown celebration of gloating and excess that simply devastates the areas it leaves in the long run. Look at all the other demolished and vacant stadiums/businesses around the world that are simply left over after all the tourists and people who have no interest in the home counry/city leave. In all most of the time supporting or even glorifying the event (and it's extremely overprotective committee) is a complete waste of time.
Except for Curling, Hockey and the original Dream Team, they're the shit, yo.
Oh, and just get California Games. It's all the fun with non-trademarked genericism for the laughs.
