What kind of logic is this?

The God of War series is known for its brutality and violence, and has—in the past—depicted violence against women, which is rather uncommon even in videogames.
Rather than committing acts of sadism, Kratos's violence will come from necessity, not for the sheer enjoyment of it.

Some how I find that hard to believe.

I find the self-censorship here kinda ironic in this context.

Golden Axe comes to mind.Hobie-wan wrote:In video games, you know where nothing is real, everyone should be able to beat up on anyone. But let's see, other female enemies in old games other than fighters and RPGs, off the top of my head.
Mother Brain
Birdo (maybe)
Battletoads Dark Queen
Medusa Castlevania
Medusa Karnov
Medusa Phelios (etc)
Catwoman Batman Returns and others
And on and on.
