Didn´t the Dreamcast version just come out on psn?
The DX pack that was actually Sonic Adventure 2, right?
So a slight bump in resolution 480p to 720p?
Optimizing PS2 games 480p (progressive) and 240p gsm hdtv

awesome. I only played the demo of SA2, but I thought it was pretty great. Seemed a lot better than the first SA (which I'm playing through now).

Sonic Adventure DX is just the port of sonic adventure GameCube got. SA2 is still only on DC and GameCube for now.

It has the exact same major problem that SA1 has, though, in that the game takes a nosedive in any stage where you're not playing as Sonic/Shadow.

I always preferred Sonic Adventure 1 over 2, even though it had the bland 'adventure' sections and big the cat. The reason being is that, as AppleQueso said, any of the non Sonic or Shadow levels took a huge nosedive in quality imo. The non Sonic levels in SA1 were mostly still playable, but in SA2 they were just horrendous. I literally cannot stand any of them. Plus, it still had all of the same issues that SA1 had.

Lol ya but it's nice to see excitement like that. I was very happy myself and it's nice to see such a great fan base. Plus really it's a badass game and im excited to try this hd remake

I have a feeling there will be quite a bit more added

Well if you enjoy sonic adventure which i have always loved that game (god i was blown away when that game first came out it was so wow!) You will most likely love sonic adventure 2 which cuts out the adventure part and is more stright forward to the levels with no amy or big to play

Personally I really loved it and both stand high on my list

Yes... Instead you just have about 4 million levels playing as Tails and Robotnik (Sorry, Eggman) in a stupid slow robot suit to enjoy instead :P At least with SA1 you could just play all the Sonic levels when you wanted and weren't forced into playing as certain characters when you may not feel like it.

To be fair though, both are fairly good games, I guess. Some people enjoy them and they certainly don't deserve all the hate they get.
