I was unaware of that last one. Sounds interesting...
Indeed. I was hoping perhaps someone with the right hardware and games might care to elaborate on that here. Maybe some pics, game comparisons, pros and cons, a list of the games that support dual controllers? I think'd it be cool to read about. If anyone's willing I salute you!
I had been meaning to try this out forever. I finally just tried it with Goldeneye. It's not quite as awkward as I thought it would be, but it'd definitely take some getting used to. It helps that you have 4 button configs. to choose from. I tried all 4 but I'd recommend the one called "Plenty" it feels pretty close to the normal default controls.
Wow, never knew about this. I have some FPS games I'll try. I'll come back and reply with my results. Haha, the Nintendo 64 is so awesome.
Edit: Ok, just tried:
-Duke Nukem 64 -Quake -Quake 2 -Hexen -Doom 64 -Armorines -Turok Dinosaur Hunter -Turok 2 -Turok Rage Wars -Battle Tanx (even though it isn't a FPS) -Forsaken 64 (same here)
And all of them didn't work. The only one that did was Golden Eye 007. According to Giant Bomb; Perfect Dark, Golden Eye, and Star Wars Episode 1: Pod Racer are the only ones that work with dual analog support. I can only confirm Golden Eye since I'm missing the other two. If somebody can test those, that'd be awesome and we can continue to hunt and see if there are any others.
Edit: Nevermind, I just found this about Pod Racer, you just have to enter a code to enable it:
Dual control option Select tournament mode, then choose an empty name entry. Hold Z and enter "RRDUAL" as a name, while pressing L to enter each letter. *** Ignore the fact that only 3 letters may be entered for your initials. After entering each letter, they should appear in the lower left corner of the screen. Now, highlight "End" and press L followed by A. With this option, plug controller one into port one and controller 2 into port 3 to play the game with 2 controllers.
Are emu's alright to use? Since we're limited on what we actually own, I thought maybe using emu's would be comparable, then have somebody who owns the game confirm perhaps? I'll try it later on today and post my results.

sure why not, as long as you can plug in two n64 controllers.. ..or as long as the emu thinks there are 4 controller ports... can't hurt to try. if it works it works
