Okay, so I was interested in buying these two games, but they usually run for about 50 bucks. But I saw a seller on Amazon who was selling them for only about 15 dollars each; the description said that they were Full Version Review Demos used for Reviewers and whatnot, so I figured that they were the entire game, just packaged different, or something of that nature.
So I got the discs today, both have regular disc art on them, with the exception of the words "Full Review Demo". And I pop them in my Dreamcast, but neither of them work. They just go to that "Play, Music, File, Option" screen. Was I mistaken on what a "Full Review Demo" is, or what?
Full Review Demos for Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and Power Stone 2?

I have absolutly no idea about "review demo's". But one thing you could try is a boot disc ( like utopia) to load the games because they may be a different region.
But as I say it's only worth a try.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.
I bet you they are well-produced backups. He was just labeling them as "review" copies so they wouldn't get taken down.

$15 for backups is a rip even if they look good.
Personally, I would report him to Amazon and get your money back. Amazon should treat you well and get rid of this scum.

More than likely the game is printed on GD-Rs and need a System 2 boot disk to start up. This shouldn't be confused with the boot disks used to play back-up CD-Rs on the Dreamcast. Basically, the System 2 boot disk was handed out to developers and reviewers to allow them to boot GD-R games for the region their dreamcast was released in. I'm not sure how hard they are to find now, but I bet they are getting a bit pricey...
i dont think your right in this case. the guy has been selling them at 14.95 and now 16.95 and it seems that he has a unlimited suply of them for cheap (compared for the rare gd-r's your talking about.)RyanDG wrote:More than likely the game is printed on GD-Rs and need a System 2 boot disk to start up. $15 is a bit expensive for backups, i always thought 4 or 5 bucks would be fair.
