Hi,
I just bought two Sega CD systems in USA, but they are without Sega Genesis base.
I live in Europe, so I have question, can I put to Sega CD (ntsc), european version of Genesis - Mega Drive 1 or 2 model (PAL) ?
That will be work or not ?
Thanks for answer.

Mega Drive to Sega CD ?
Re: Mega Drive to Sega CD ?
Sega CD won't work by itself. The default US CD bios will detect 50hz mode and stop. A 60hz switch Mega Drive should fix it.
Of course this approach means it remains Sega CD. You'd need US or region patched games.
Another option is loading the PAL CD bios rom. Everdrive flash cart is one way. If Sega CD temporary believes it's Mega CD, then it'll work at 50hz and play PAL CDs.
