I put a switchless region mod in my US/NTSC Model 2 Saturn several months ago. Works dandy, sort of... You're supposed to hold down RESET while powering on the system to switch it to JP region, but it seems a little finicky. I'm not quite sure how long to hold RESET down to get it to switch, and a lot of times I just get dumped to the CD menu. Anyone have any tips for this?
How long do you hold down RESET on your switchless Saturn region mod before you let go?

Dang, no help on this? Do people not usually do switchless mods?

Maybe not recently. Perhaps region free bios has superseded that part. All region codes at once, instead of toggling between them.
Switchless mod of course remains the cleanest looking way to get 50/60 hz. Ensures PAL optimized games are correct speed.

Does the region free BIOS chip work with any version US Saturn? Seems like it does.
