Genesis Plus GX Sega CD Support.

EDIT: Sega CD support has been added to Genesis Plus GX for quite some time now.

I know I've mentioned this in a couple of my posts but I figured it would be best if I made a new thread for it.


Thanks to the hard work and knowledge of ekeeke, Genesis Plus GX on the Wii (and GC) has received Sega/Mega CD support!

It's important to note that this Sega CD emulator is not a port of a preexisting emulator, such as Gens. It is a completely new Sega CD emulator designed from the ground up. This was mandatory so that the new Sega CD core could sync with ekeeke's very accurate Genisis core.

Genesis Plus GX (not regular Genesis Plus) is already the most accurate Gensis emulator ever written. With Sega CD under it's belt and the abilities of the Wii (being able to out put in 240p and classic controller) this will become the definitive emulation experience for the Genesis hardware!

Yes you can.
The the Justifier can already be set to the wiimote to mimic the light gun in the current version of Genisis Plus GX.

That was almost my same reaction when I first heard about this project.
I own a Sega CD, but I hate having to deal with its finicky hardware! Such as it's God forsaken internal battery

Sorry, that was worded funny. I meant that I can play Snatcher the proper way. I played it years ago with a Justifier (and bought one again a couple years ago for that purpose).

Its got so many neat games, but so many problems. I have a broken Model 2 that I was going to try and fix, but now I will just buy some Genesis to Gamecube adapters.
