You ever find a game you didn't know you had?
You ever find a game you didn't know you had?
I was looking through my Genesis carts and found Ecco: Tides of Time. I don't really like it so I went to my computer to check of when I bought it and for how much. Well it isn't anywhere, not in my personal docs, backloggery or RFGeneration. I don't even have the receipt for it.
It's so weird too, because I clearly remember playing it (and failing hard). This ever happen to any of you people? Maybe those with loads of games?

Yes. I was looking through my Genesis carts the other day, and I discovered I have World of Illusion with Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck. I honestly don't know where that came from, but whatever, I'm not complaining.

I used a copy of Kirby Superstar (and a few DVDs) as part of a trade for a friend's mp3 player once because I didn't think I had my SNES any longer. A week or so later, I found my SNES in storage in another room and couldn't have felt dumber. That MP3 player soon went to shit, and I'm 100% positive my Kirby Superstar cart still runs perfectly. I've never replaced this.

Sometimes I'll buy a couple of really cheap games on a whim and then completely forget about it. Examples include NES Golf and Pinball.

Raise those hands, I'm not the only one. Buying GBA games then finding out I already had the games.

I only have like five copies of Tetris. But that's just from buying lots. I do however have a few PS2 doubles I didn't know about anymore. Especially with that insane flea market spree I had last summer. Oh well, it happens...CRTGAMER wrote:Raise those hands, I'm not the only one. I'm not sure what all PS2, Xbox, and NES games I have, but I have a fair grasp of what I have for my other games...still, I inevitably end up checking RFGen whenever I'm at a game store...

I once ordered a copy of Super Turrican, only to see I already had a copy when the new one came in the mail and I was putting it away. lol

Nope, never. I buy games for playing more than collecting, so that might have to do with it.
Re: You ever find a game you didn't know you had?
I definitely get surprised sometimes because I haven't played a game in a really long time and then realized how much fun it was. Although,I've never had the reaction of "omg, i didn't know I had this!".
I don't buy to collect either; I play my games. I can't play all of them all the time, though. Happens with my record collection too. I like the feeling of rediscovering things like that because I can wear stuff out by listening to or playing a genre too much.
