Anyone else play with Demul? I always thought it was a straight Dreamcast emulator until Friday night when I discovered it plays Alien Front:
Being that Alien Front was a favorite of mine on the Dreamcast Online, I downloaded the game, obtained a Naomi rom, and after a bit of time configuring it spent several hours destroying the human menace. After Alien Front (which had some graphical bugs but worked well), I loaded up Monkey Ball and it had some weird slowdown issues. It was still playable, just not smooth like on the cube. After 20 levels of Monkey Ball (being a cube launch title I got really good at it), I loaded up a game that they said did not work at all - Outtrigger. Low and behold it was playable, but had some goofy issues.
I need to experiment with it more but it looks like it might be able to play multiplayer Alien Front, Daytona, SCUD racer, and Outtrigger. Which means, I need four cabs...Daytona and Alien Front are two of my favorite modernish arcade games.
Anyone else have experiences with it? Apparently it runs Atomiswave games.
Demul experiences?
Re: Demul experiences?
The main problem with Naomi games is input emulation.. something which isn't being actively worked on.

What do you mean? Ive given a dozen or so Naomi games a run and havent had any terrible issues with it. Granted you have to set your controls in the emulator THEN see if they goofed up anything in the game settings - Alien Front is notorious for this in making your vehicles default to going right.
Re: Demul experiences?

What I meant was that games with funky controls aren't supported.
