Good Import Games

Post by KoLAddict »

Anyone have any recommendations for good import titles? I have an NES, SNES, Genesis, N64, Game Boy/DS (3DS too but not region free), PSP, Game Gear, PS1/2/3, Saturn, XBox, and a Dreamcast, lol.

RPGs are my favorite genre, but I like all genres. Action/Adventure/Platforming are all great for import though because of the lack of reading that's necessary.

I have a few already, particularly for the Saturn. Dragon Force 2, and Shining Force III Scenarios 2 and 3. I haven't gotten much on the other consoles yet, but looking to expand the library.
Huge RPG fan.

Well an obvious choice for Dreamcast would be the European Shenmue II. Fantastic sequel and I got mine at the start of the new year, they are readily available from US sellers on eBay.

Osu! Tatake! Ouendan is one of the best games on the NDS and I have yet to meet someone who didn't like it.

Another common answer is Sin & Punishment for N64. It's non-Japanese friendly, from what I've heard, and it's supposed to be a fun game.

A good first person adventure game on the PS1 is called LSD (yes, that is in fact the title.) It is based on an employee at the company that made the game's dream journal. The game drops you off in a dreamlike landscape, and you can explore several different areas. The events that happen in those areas are randomly generated. Every time you bump into a wall or another object, you get transported to a different area. It's a fascinating game with very little Japanese in the menus. If this intrigues you at all, check out this video. It is rather rare and expensive, however, it can be downloaded on the Japanese PSN store, or you can emulate it.

Ridge Racer 2 for Europe/Ridge Racers 2 in Japan. It has all the music and all the tracks from the 32-bit Ridge Racer Games. That's a lot of Ridge Racer.
