For me, it was just recently. We were getting a room in our house totally redone, so walls were being ripped out on the inside and everything. So, somehow, and I have no idea how this happened, but inside wall I found my GBA Super Mario Bros. 3 cartridge that I had not seen for several years. Best part is, after I cleaned it out, it still works.

Weirdest places you've found a lost game?
We all lose games from time to time. If we're lucky, we eventually find them though. What is the wierdest place you have found a lost game?

Re: Weirdest places you've found a lost game?
I haven't found a lost game, but I've found video game related stuff that was lost (and not by me, but by my brothers). They were cleaning out stuff out of their room and put it in the recycle container. I was taking out the trash so I was putting stuff in there as well and found some of the stuff they threw out so I looked through it (because I know my brothers don't exactly look through everything when they toss it). What did I find? a couple of DS Lite manuals (for the systems themselves), a Mario Kart: Super Circuit instruction manual (missing only the front/back cover), and one of those GBA Wireless adapters. I think there was also a GBA game too, some Disney one but I can't remember the name.....I want to say it was Lilo and Stitch but I'm not too sure. Anyway I grabbed the other items but left the game because I was like "eh whatever". Should have gotten it anyway.

That's actually a pretty decent little run-n-gun...MyNameIsVince wrote:I want to say it was Lilo and Stitch but I'm not too sure. Anyway I grabbed the other items but left the game because I was like "eh whatever". Should have gotten it anyway.

In a linen closet under a bunch of towels.
I like to take video games into the bathroom so I can read the instruction booklet while droppin' a deuce. On one particular day I brought Time Stalkers into the john with me. When I washed my hands I guess I set the game on a stack of towels in the closet (the door must have been open). Completely forgot about it and my wife threw even more towels on top of the game after doing laundry. She's the one who found the game about a week later. I had no idea it was missing.
Just this afternoon I found copies of Joe Montana Football and NBA Jam in my father's toolshed. They probably belonged to my brother at one point, they're mine now!

I just misplaced my golden Wii motion plus remote somehow last night, and it's driving me insane.

Famicom copy of Crisis Force in the spare tire well of one of my cars. It was in there for at least a year.

Re: Weirdest places you've found a lost game?
I've had my cat kidnap a Tamagotchi or two and pin them so far under the couch that I've needed a yard stick to fish them out.
I also had a habit of putting my Game Boy under the passenger seat in my parents' car as a kid, especially when we were going on errands. I'd play a game on the way somewhere, put the thing underneath the seat when we got there, then drag it out again on the way home. Once or twice I forgot I'd done that and panicked that somehow I'd misplaced my brick. How could I do that!?, I'd wonder. Not only was I in disbelief because I was generally very careful with my stuff... but how could misplacing that beast even be possible?
Somewhat related, I found my long-lost April O'Neil action figure inside a rollerskate in my closet once. (Shredder had been holding her hostage in it, I remembered.) I mean, she'd been missing for about a decade. So I managed to misplace an entire April but not her tiny little camcorder accessory, which I still have. Go figure.
