So for the past 8 years or so I've been playing Fire Emblem for GBA off and on. I say off and on because I'll always get MANY hours into it and for whatever reason my save will get erased or corrupted and I will rage quit playing for months or years.
The first time it was because the battery in my flashcart died.
The second time I had an actual cart and a friend managed to erase my save game.
Other times I've had some emulation troubles and my save file.
Recently I've been playing it on my phone through the GameBoid emulator. I was about 11 hours in and had just made it to the Dread Isle (chapter 17 I think). Tonight I just sat down to play through that chapter and my phone decided to lock up and reboot randomly.
When it came back up guess what? The save file had gotten erased and I'm back to square one.
I swear I'm never going to get to complete this game.....
The universe does not want me to finish Fire Emblem for GBA.

Is that GBA cart a bootleg? Could be why you have save file problems.

Was which cart a boot leg?
My old flash cart? Which I no longer have? It was legit, the battery just died and needed to be replaced. It was an EZFlash.
The actual Fire Emblem cart I used to have was legit too.
I don't have any GBA hardware or carts any more, I sold it all.

Maybe try emulating it for your last attempt, haha...

Emulate it on PC...make a backup of your SRAM on your flash drive. You'll never lose it that way.
