Any psp mod experts out there?

Post by joehero »

I purchased a psp 1000 and the ofw was 6.20. I installed cfw 6.20 tn-d. Im having trouble playing any playstation game. It locks up after the sony logo. The iso i am trying to load works fine on my other psp 1000 with 5.00 m33-6 cfw.

Also I used the plugin categories light v1.3 Im not sure if thats info you need.

It also wont boot psp iso or cso files directly like my other ps with 5.00 m33-6. When browsing the categories the files show up corrupt.I like having the menu of games and being able to launch them directly from the category. Is there something else I can do or is there a way to downgrade from 6.20tn-d to 5.00 m33-6.

Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

The problem is that your using cfw 6.20 tn-d.
Use PRO B10, it's allot better and it even works on the latest OFW, 6.60.

EDIT: Wait did you do a permanent install of tn-d? If so that might brick your PSP if you install PRO along side tn-d. Though don't quote me on that.

Then uninstall it by running the installer again. Afterwards install PRO B10.
6.20 users actually have the option to do a permanent install, as apose to a light install, so it will act just like TN-D only a heck of allot better.

Thanks! Got it working. Now just messing with game categories light v1.3. I'm having difficulty getting my iso to show up in the game folder. But the ps1 games work now!

Make a folder on the root of your MC labeled "ISO" and place all the your ISO's in that folder. Then they will show up in the games section on your PSP.

I did that, but when I go to the categories its listed under the "uncategorized" label. Which I can live with, but if there is a way to label it something else like "games" or "PSP Games" that would be better.
I have my categories label as, "Homebrew", "Emulators", Etc.

Another upgrade Q; I am running OFW 6.60 and have put on CFW 6.60 PRO B10fix and all's well. If I want to upgrade to CFW PRO C, do I simply just replace the FastRecovery, or do I have to run PROUPDATE first and then can use it as usual?
 (FC, AVFC, NES, SFC x2, SNES, N64, GC x2, Wii x2)*(G&W x7, GB, GBpocket, GBASP, DS-L x2)
(GEN, SS x3, DC x3)*(PCE-Duo)*(Xbox:500GB)*(NGCDZ, NGPC)*(PS1, PStwo, PS3:160GB, PSP.3K)

Replace the FastRecovery with the new one and run the new PROUPDATE. It will over write your old aftermarket modules from PRO B10 and upgrade you to the latest PRO. Then just run PRO like you've always have.
