even though I am absolutely thick at any form of puzzle, I bought this and tried playing it, even though I was brutal I tried to carry on, but for some reason its one of the ever growing list of FPS's that give me motion sickness :s
(and HL2 doesnt for some weird reason)
maybe its the actual portals in this case
Prey makes me a bit nauseous too

I feel sorry for you man. Is it me or does motion sickness seem like a more common condition nowadays? I never heard about this a few years ago but now a lot of people suffer from it.baphomet_irl wrote:even though I am absolutely thick at any form of puzzle, I bought this and tried playing it, even though I was brutal I tried to carry on, but for some reason its one of the ever growing list of FPS's that give me motion sickness :s

Could it be due to TV screen sizes getting bigger or something?

Thanks man - it is a pain in the bum - even my beloved Quake (1) is sometimes hard for me to play now
Im not sure about the TV sizes thing, in my case I dont think so, cause I only play FPS's on PC's and Ive pretty much had a 19 or 21 inch monitor for the last 10 years, some people think it happens because your body 'believes' the movements and then obviously your ear/balance gets messed up and gives you nausea, so maybe it's as the gfx and worlds become more realistic, it is more likely to happen, or maybe Im just getting old :s :p
having said that, I fully believed in the world of Wolf3D and Rise Of The Triad so maybe thats not the reason with me :p
I do think that lower refresh rates does seem to make it worse, so maybe people with big CRT tv's are more likely to get it...

Fuck it ,believe it or not that cake or death thing has made me want to buy this game now. How the hell did it manage to have that affect on me?
