Thats the most comprehensive list of good Dos Games I have seen in a long time. The only one I would have added is Their Finest Hour by Lucasarts, since it revolutionized aircombat games a year before Red Baron was released. But being Lucasarts, it died to obscurity.

I don't know about that...LucasArts games continue to be some of the least obscure classic PC games.

Let me rephrase then, it wasnt a Star Wars or SCUMM game so it died to obscurity. All of their old military games are relatively unknown. If anything they are known for inspiring Xwing/Tiefighter.

This is a winner, it didn't miss any of the consummate classics at all. Death Rally, Wacky Wheels, Raptor, ZZT, Magic Carpet are all there.

Man, when I was in high school I was pretty obsessed with DOS games. Even though it was the 2000s, I used to buy Apogee games on floppy disks from the 3D Realms web-store. I also remember that at that time, it was common to find old DOS titles in bargain bins in any store that sold computer games. Truly a good time to be a DOS gamer. I had a 486 that ran DOS and when it booted up, I would have it say "What is thy bidding, my master?" instead of just showing the drive/directory.

My all-time favorite DOS games had to be the Commander Keen series I played/re-played all of them. Though LucasArts adventures were pretty awesome as well.
