Is it possible for pixels that did once work, to die?
I've just been playing my NDS and noticed a red pixels slap in the middle of the touch screen. Nintendo say that the problem is at manufacture and will not get worse but I'm sure I would have seen before considering where it is. Maybe it used to be stuck white and changed colour?
Cant stop looking at it now I've seen the bugger

Definately, it's just that the pixels are getting used and sometimes die.
My computer monitor has had a dead pixel. It sometimes goes out and I can massage it a little bit with my finger and it goes back to working just fine, and now that I think about it I haven't had to rub it for a few months now. I would suggest that you massage the dead pixel while turning the screen on and off, that may work, but if not it probably is unrepairable, at least at home.

You should try the program Stuck Pixel Fixer at http://www.pineight.com/gba/ . Just set the gba games to the touch screen and run this program for a while (some people i know have done it over night). Works good provided you don't stare at it and have a way to run homebrew. I would suggest closing the screen while it is running. Good luck!
