Any Way to Do Netplay Between A Mac And A PC?

So I have a PC with Windows and my friend has a Mac. We want to do netplay but can't figure it out. Are there even any emulators for both Mac and PC that can do netplay?

What system do you want to emulate? There are a few with OSX and Windows ports, but I'm unsure about netplay.

I've seen some people run emulators in a virtualized OS. Maybe Your OSX friend can run virtual box or what not to play the Windows based emulators. I don't know how the performance would be on that though.
