I doubt it. I mean we are living the year 2012, there already is a huge amount of Xbox 360 owners, and there are plenty of used Xboxes to go around and the next console generation isnt that far away. It would have been a much bigger deal in '06-08

This is the 360 we're talking about. Just one year of no new 360 units would have a very noticeable effect on the number of consoles left in circulation.

I doubt the actual intent of Motorola/Google is to prevent MS from selling 360s. They're just doing a tit-for-tat on tech patents. Frankly, Motorola is breaking FRAND laws, and will likely be overturned and/or fined in other countries. Germany's system is just (more) retarded than most, leading companies to bring their patent lawsuits there.

The EU isn't really Microsoft's turf, but their legal team is to blame for this.. I always thought the 360's basic media capabilities weren't a priority for the company.
