GT 5 question...

so, I bought the standard edition of GT5, but latly I have a jones for the chrome line cars and other downloadable swag that came with the collectors edition. I'm under the impression they arn't unlockable or available in any other way.
so I'm guessing I'm out of luck unless I buy a sealed copy of the collectors edition off ebay or ?
this wouldn't screw up my current game saves would it ?

I'm psyched they finally let us buy rims for all cars...all I need is the Seattle Circuit, a VW Vanagon crew cab truck and a '57 Porsche Speedster and it'd be perfect.
