So I have played many games on the dreamcast and many of them included horror games and I can for surely say that there are some great titles that are of course overlooked like most dreamcast games.
Illbleed 5/5
Fantastic game,Its not only fun but its unique in so many ways that i have never seen before in an horror game before or after.
I have played This game endless times and I have more and more fun each time. There is 3 great endings, one of which you can only get the second time around which includes an article of clothing coming off Erico every time you don't save a person.
At the risk of sounding weird i have enjoyed letting all my friends die in this game lol. Also the gameplay and horror aspects are fantastic from a demonic doll to a burnt up old father who is hellbent on revenge "banbollow" Also has the most wounderful b-rate acting and scenes ever I love this game and if you have not played it do so now.
also some really great mentions:
Blue stinger: Fantastic and bad which makes it all the better
resident evil code veronica: best in the series next to one a true classic
alone in the dark: amazing graphics that still hold up today
carrier: Maby Not everyone's cup of tea but I love it so far
How bout you? whats your fav? and worst on dreamcast Id love to here:)

I haven't played anything other then RE:CV, but I have to say, that game is damn good. Ties with 2 as my favorite RE game.
Re: Dreamcast survivor horror/best? worst?
Not sure if it counts but Maken X is a really fun game with some horror aspects to it.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
Re: Dreamcast survivor horror/best? worst?
I've been wanting to play Carrier since I watched the Classic Game Room review.

Illbleed is definitely one of the best on DC not to mention it also being an exclusive.
D2 is also one to check out. Spread out on 4 discs, the atmosphere is perfect, the storyline and cutscenes can be dragged out a bit and confusing but it's still a good game.

The Ring: Terror's Realm has a pretty notorious reputation and is usually considered one of the worst horror games ever made. Been wanting to try it out myself.
I've never really heard much about illbleed aside from the title. I should pick it up.
RE:CV I've tried to play a couple times and just never could get into it. I think it's that Steve guy. He gets on my nerves a lot. I'd probably be willing to give it more of a chance in the future though.

If you're gonna mention Dino Crisis, might as well mention the Dreamcast ports of Resident Evil 2 and 3.TEKTORO wrote:Dino Crisis is about the only one left out, figured Id mention it.

I've seen videos on YouTube about The Ring. There's just something really BAD about it, but also something that would make me want to try it too. It's a Dreamcast game!AppleQueso wrote:The Ring: Terror's Realm has a pretty notorious reputation and is usually considered one of the worst horror games ever made. Been wanting to try it out myself.

Illbleed is great and its a lot of fun.
Yes, Steve is the whiny annoying want-to-smack him character for sure. Keep at it.
I have RE3, and I'll weigh in. Unlike the PS1, you can pick a costume for Jill right at the beginning, and there are 2 DC exclusives. It was a pretty good port too.AppleQueso wrote:If you're gonna mention Dino Crisis, might as well mention the Dreamcast ports of Resident Evil 2 and 3.
