how do i get on a private server for phantasy star online

As far as I know they're all private servers now so you can't actually use the official game without some hacks, I guess ... I haven't done it .. but there's some info at these places it seems:

wow those instructions are so confusing and the version of pso that is preset to go on the private server was on megaupload and that is shut down haha i guess i probably shouldnt of thrown down $100 on a broadband adaptor before i figured out if was smart enough to do this

don't play on schthack, you'll hardly find any V2 players.

Just to let you know most people covet the broadband adapter because it's how you rip Dreamcast games.

so to this day im still trying to figure out how to get online on PSO v2 with the BBA. i may end up just selling the damn thing because i thought it would make things easier getting online lol boy was i wrong. i used just about every internet disk out there to configure my network settings xdp dreamkey, planet web, unreal turnament and quake 3 arena. every time it still says network settings on dreamcast have not been set up. wtf am i doing wrong i used the ip address from http://www.schtserv.com/, how do i configure the network settings? im about to give up here.

don't give up. I just got PSO v2 in the mail today. I don't have a BBA, so I'll be going the modem route. But if I get things figured out, I'll see if I can walk you through it.

Did you try the bootdisc from Sylverant by the way?

no im using http://www.theisozone.com/downloads/dre ... l-cracked/ whats the file you linked me? how do i apply the patch? if i can get this working ill play with you. lol there are tons of guides out there on how to get online on a private server but they are all for using a dial up connection

my understanding is you burn the Sylverant disc and it works as a bootdisc that basically connects you to the Sylverant server, and then you disc-swap and put in your PSO disc. In this case, I think you need an actual PSO disc, not a burn. But I haven't tried it yet myself.
