I love Action Adventure, as a genre, overall. I actually think it's the best genre in pretty much every medium.

It's a little hard to talk about because action-adventure is such an enormous genre. It encompasses everything from Uncharted and Legacy of Kain to Half-Life and The Legend of Zelda. It's a BIG genre. (and the best, hands down)

My favorite is tough. But I'd argue Nintendo. Legend of Zelda, Metroid, the 3D Marios are all action adventure.

Naughty Dog would come in a close second for the Uncharted games. They're just fantastic. (best new franchise this generation, in my opinion)

And, third, Valve! Half-Life and Portal are phenomenal. And while they have other elements (like puzzle solving, and first person combat) their cores are about multi-tasking a variety of abilities and progressing narratives.

Naughty Dogs Uncharted and Jak and Daxter-series are good. God of War also. So many different games get classified as action adventure so its hard to name just one developer or game series.
My WTB thread (Sega CD/Saturn games)
Also looking to buy: Ys III (TG-16 CD), Shadowrun (Genesis) Hori N64 mini pad and Slayer (3DO) in long box/just the long box

I'll say Konami for Castlevania: Symphony of the Night and the GBA/DS Castlevania titles.

Man, I hope they make more games in that style. (It counts as action-adventure, right?)

Action-Adventure could define just about every game on the market. I hate the term.

When I think of AA though I think of Insomniac. The Spyro and Ratchet and Clank games are some of the best AA there is.
