Podcast #33 - Tony Hawk's Global Warming

Post by dsheinem »

Dave and John talk about the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series with Expert Correspondent TEKTORO, mull the fate of classic games being ported to touch devices, delve into a too-long discussion about their history of playing RPGs, weigh in on the Mass Effect 3 controversies, and go on for far too long in this most recent episode. Enjoy!

Oh, and here's a link to the Clash Force game I talked about: http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/clash-fo ... 45872?mt=8

If there was a game called Tony Hawk's Global Warming I would buy it.
Since this signature affects old posts, I'm leaving a message here in case anyone searches for my username. This account died in early 2013. I am no longer a fundamentalist.

Don't add to my problems by pretending my past views are still held in the present. I do not have any patience for that. Feel free to ask me what I think now.

Good idea to have an "expert" come on the show every month. I'd love to contribute to something there one of these days :)

I didn't think it was too long-winded, it certainly got me interested in the RPG lineage thread that I had kind of skipped over to this point. I'll have to find some time to add a response.

I admit, I hadn't really listened to the podcast before, I think I only listened to the Live episode (not live though) before the recent format change. I think for whatever reason until I saw Dave's post for questions for the more recent ones I never really looked into the Racketboy podcast. Anyway just want to say that I am really liking the podcast so far and I appreciate all the hard work that has gone into it and I like the rapport that Dave and John have, you have a loyal listener now!

p.s. I agree with you on the question about immersion and that a handheld can be immersive, just thought it was an interesting thought. I am totally immersed in FFIV for the PSP right now.
