So I never played with the VMU, ever. I got a new batch of batteries, CR2032.
I installed the 2 batteries, I turned it on and it worked i played a little with it and switched it off.
3 weeks or so later, Its not working. Is it possible that the battery dies this fast? or is there something wrong with this device?
VMU battery life
Re: VMU battery life
All my VMUs have been like that too. Not sure why. I don't even bother changing the batteries anymore.
Re: VMU battery life
Yeah VMU's have a pretty dang short life for batteries.
(And AFAIK none of the VMU games/features are worth playing anyway.)

Re: VMU battery life
VMUs have terrible battery life. I've never made it more than five weeks without one dying.
Chao Adventure, while very simplistic, was neat.

You guys remember the noise a VMU makes to "remind" you that the battery is dead?

Yes, VMU batteries have a notoriously short life. Only time I ever used them off the system was to play the Power Stone and Tech Romancer mini games to earn in-game currency to unlock features.
You have to admit though, if you can take yourself away to look down at them as you're playing, they have some really neat animations.

DAMN!
I heard they had short life, I thought like 1 month of use short life, not 2 min which is literally how long I used it for. Whats funny is that it packs 2 batteries!
i thought those batteries last a long time since NES/SNES packed ones still work!
