Arkane is a studio built by people who LOVE old-school Looking Glass games. In fact, their first game, Arx Fatalis, was originally intended to be an Ultima Underworld sequel but they were never able to wrench the license from EA.
If you like Looking Glass's old work, Arkane is the closest thing we have these days... Dishonored may well be the one and only 2012 game I actually buy in 2012. But please don't make any more Bioshock comparisons; it's insulting.

May I ask how? I can see you don't like the game, but is it really insulting? Either way, the main points of comparison I was making were the art style and one of the powers in the game, where, one can call up rats or crows.

There's a certain segment of people who get violent when System Shock (and Deus Ex) style gameplay is referred to as Bioshock like.
Apparently I'm looking forward to this game, since it's on my Amazon preorder list. I can't remember what first interested me about it, though.

I guess by that metric the comparison can stand, but that's a very small part of Bioshock. Think about it like this: Bioshock took the ol' System Shock formula and threw it on a linear corridor shooter (albeit one with wide corridors) while dumbing the mechanics at the same time. I don't know how deep Dishonored's mechanics will be, but it's taking that formula and throwing it in a sandbox. They're going to play entirely differently. I actually do have a soft spot for Bioshock, but only because it was my first PC game when I built my computer a few years ago... Playing through Looking Glass's back catalog since then has really aged it.
The art style just reminds me of a dieselpunk Half-life 2... For good reason.
