As I came across an article about a David Jaffe (GOW/Twisted Metal fame) game no longer being for sale on the PSN, I starting thinking to myself. I know if I bought that game i can redownload it on the "download" list. However what about when the PS4 is in the prime of its life and the PS3 no longer is being supported. How long will that download list for the PS3 be available?
One game this generation of consoles that I find just amazing is Heavy Rain. Now I have the regular copy of this game. There was a 1GB update to support the Move. How long will the update for my copy of the game be supported for. I know there is a director's cut that has the move support on the disc. I played with the Move instead of the just using the controller.
Im just thinking when these consoles become retro and there isn't any way to "update" these games, almost 99% of these games are going to be missing alot of features and or some games wont even be playable. Not sure if these consoles are going to be fun to collect for and play in the future.
Thoughts anyone?

Through grey legal downloads via internet. The legality will be extremely questionable, but if you gotta have it....
I wouldn't be against having some type of website listing all games, with downloads for updates and DLC. I would actually see that as a great cause to look for.
Think of Fallout New Vegas. You literally have to have the updates on console, or its nigh on unplayable. Hop online, get your update, your good to go.
