So I played a short freeware game today called "Claire World: Cockatiel Chaos". It is a funny Sonic clone but it also has a firing mechanic similar to what you have in Yoshi's Island. The game is not great but I found it good enough to spend a bit of time with and finish.
I can't find the golden egg in level 2 and for some reason it is really annoying me. The level is short and I think I looked everywhere. To be honest I'm wondering if the guy that made the game just forgot to put it in the level. If anyone tries this game and finds the egg please let me know where it is.
Ivo.
Anyone help me find an egg in a freeware game?
Re: Anyone help me find an egg in a freeware game?
Wow. I made the game so. . . It's there lol.
FYI you get absolutely nothing for finding them all.

Re: Anyone help me find an egg in a freeware game?
Thanks a bunch! I will try it again.
I've checked that place some 10 times already, that spring there is pretty suspicious after all. I must have overshot the platform every time without glimpsing any bit of it. I'll let you know.
For what is worth I quite enjoyed the game and I felt the other eggs were placed nicely, so good design there. I may be biased against that one for not having found it, and I imagined the "right" place for putting it would be just below the first slider on that level - if you backtrack you have to jump over several spikes left and right which would make it comparable to the egg in the Lava level, even if you "guessed" it was there and just dropped into it you would have to jump over the spikes once on the way right.
I'm pretty sure I've heard the music in the 2nd flying level elsewhere by the way (something on the Amiga, right?).
Really liked the Pacman bit as well.
Where did you get the idea of the cockatiels, by the way?

Well. . . The right place would have been obvious
The track just says zool, so you're probably right. All the music is from vgmusic.com. . .
You're right on the yoshis island reference. . . Actually it was yoshi's story that allowed you to aim anywhere. The game is one of several I made for my sisters birthdays. . . At the time she wanted a cockatiel for some reason. It's also a reference to sonic and knuckles. When you turn into hyper tails flickies come down and attack enemies around you. A long time ago I started a game with the exact same mechanic where you played as tails and shot flickies.
You should also totally buy my game clash force when it comes out next Tuesday. . . If you have an iOS device.

Well for me as an experienced gamer every other single egg was fairly obvious so not finding that one was making me uncomfortable.Jrecee wrote:Well. . . The right place would have been obvious![]()

I have to apologize for assuming it just wasn't in the level. After you showed me, I tried jumping that spring again pretending not to know it was there and I did see a glimpse of the other platform. I don't know how I missed it before, but honestly I looked there like 10 times and was already pretty fed up with the level. It is so small and I just couldn't find it! I must have been tired.
I really need to get an iOS device eventually, even if it is just for gaming. How did you program your iOS game? That does look good.

Please just buy Clash Force instead. . .
You can get it here:

Like I said, it was made for my sister in my spare time. It's not really polished or meant for mass consumption, but I figured someone would get some entertainment out of it vs. it sitting on my HDD. What's funny is I only submitted it to the site above and then it started showing up on all sorts of foreign game sites. Where did you get it ivo?
I made that, and my ios game with multimedia fusion 2 and the ios exporter.
