USB Gecko For Wii/Gamecube Revealed

Post by racketboy »

The USB Gecko is a small development kit that plugs directly into your Nintendo GameCube/Wii's memory card slot and allows for communication between your console and your computer. Features include streaming DOL (homebrew) images, a remote debugger and MP3 playing capabilities all over a USB v2.0 connection

I am not very technically inclined, exactly what will this thing do? Can I save wirelessly to my PC instead of a mem card? Can I load roms from my PC to the console?

Thats right, its main function is to load games straight onto the machine from your pc. Not sure about saving games on the PC though, would be a nice feature particularly on the cube.

Yes it can do that, so it says in the description.

Yeah, but it looks like you'll have to have a PC nearby and be able to click on the PC to load it.
Not exactly as easy as booting backups off an XBox Hard Drive....
