Support Yakuza Team by buying Binary Domain
and Yakuza Dead Souls. Really don't care if you are waiting for a price drop or not, but by all means buy them. I had a blast with BD and I think it deserves more love.
Re: Support Yakuza Team by buying Binary Domain
I really would love to support the Yakuza team and I reserved BD,but with a few titles under my radar I just didnt pull the trigger and pick it up yet. Will waiting for a price drop hurt the support for the team?
I mean I was 2 seconds away from getting it today, but tend to spend my money on harder to find games. For instance I may just say screw Mass Effect 3 and grab Ghoul Patrol and Legend of Oasis (oops I just did).

Well, yes. Initial sales are the most-used metric in measuring a game's success. Just look at all the teams that have been laid off within weeks or days of their game's launch. But, as someone who thinks that $60 is way too much to expect for a single game, I feel it more my moral obligation not to buy games at that price than to support developers I like. Because I'd like them even more if they knew how to properly price their games.TEKTORO wrote:I really would love to support the Yakuza team and I reserved BD,but with a few titles under my radar I just didnt pull the trigger and pick it up yet. Will waiting for a price drop hurt the support for the team?

Issue is, pricing is most likely set by the publisher and not the developer.sabrage wrote:Well, yes. Initial sales are the most-used metric in measuring a game's success. This game is on my radar...but between SSX being released last week..and Mass Effect 3 this week... and then The Witcher 2 after that?!?! Where's the time?
Probably pick it up in Summer when there is the game draught.

Re: Support Yakuza Team by buying Binary Domain
I pulled the trigger and purchased Binary Domain for PS3. I was initially going to hold off until it was $20 since the framerate in the demo was abysmal, but reports from users stated the retail version was much improved.
Despite the demo's technical shortcomings, I've played it to completion several times now and am excited to grab the retail version. Shooting a robot in the leg and watching it keel over doesn't get old!
If anyone is interested, the game is on sale for both platforms at Amazon.
