Genesis Arcade Stick Repair

Post by vgmastercleveland »

I have broken sega brand a 3 button arcade power stick that I bought cheaply, assuming that I can fix it. The stick is broken off at its base, and that is the only problem that I can see. I would please like to know if it is practical to repair, and what parts I would need.
Thanks

Can you post some pics? Some shots of the PCB too.

If there is enough rod at both ends, maybe a metal sleeve and epoxy? You might have to replace the entire stick assembly. Wire the new switches to the PCB.

Took some pictures but when I try to upload them I ger an error saying they are invalid. Any suggestions? Maybe I can get some links up soon. To me the pcb looks fine. I think the plastic shaft just broke off.
Thanks

The pics have to be 256k or less in file size to upload as a direct attachment. You can use Infraview for the PC to reduce the pic size or iPhoto for the Mac.
