Radiant Silvergun Leveling up
Hey guys I have been obsessively playing Radiant Silvergun, just beat it last night w/out action replay cheats I'm pretty happy about that, anyway my levels are so: A33,B30,C29. Is there any way to view how much exp. you are getting and how much is left until a level upgrade? Any easy way other then to grind and hope you will level up in that round? Also I know the X,Y,Z buttons are just combos of the main guns, but do they level up separately? And the sword, is that separate too? And can you gather energy for your sword bar any other way than absorbing the pink shots?

Re: Radiant Silvergun Leveling up
I can help a bit.
Your main 3 weapons level up seperately. All other weapons are based on what 2 or 3 buttons you are using to perform that move. they affect different things too. Like, your AB combo will be affected by A and B's levels, but A will affect width of shot, and B will affect power.
Bascially, if you want to level fast, you want to only kill red enemies. That way you will create a chain, and chaining is what levels your weapons.
I've only ever tried the game on one credit, so I'm not sure what the specifics are when reaching the 30s in weapon level.
Hope that helped a bit

Yes it did help, when starting a chain must you start with the red enemies first or can you go on to the other colors, and what are these "secret chains" I run into every now and again. Is there anyway to tell how much exp. is needed before you level up? My goal is to max all the weapons up so a friend(who has never heard of the game) and I can just breeze through.

Basically, killing 3 enemies of the same color starts a chain. Another 3 f that same color will increase chain value.
F you kill 3 red enemies, 1 blue enemy, and then 3 yellow enemies, you'll get a secret chain. This will give you 100k, which is much higher than a normal chain starts. If you continue this yellow chain, you'll gain from 100k instead of 100.
Red are most common, worth the least, but the easiest way to chain is to focus on red.
Yellow is worth the most but is the rarest. Only chain yellow off a secret chain (right near the beginning is a good spot. Other than special situations, always chain red

I don't think it does, but its directly related to each chain you get, and how high you've chained up when you get that chain.
I have been meaning to DL the xbla version of this, since I sold off my saturn port, but I've yet to go buy the points.

I definetly would if I didn't have my Saturn, I never did like shooter games all that much until this game. I want to get into Ikaruga on my DC but not sure if I'm up to the challenge, any experience with that one?

Ikaruga is also quite fun, if you like Radiant Silvergun then you will be right at home.
Ikaruga is much more minimalist than RSG. You have a gun and a limited homing shot. Then you have a polarity shield that makes you immune to half of the bullets on screen, which can be switched to make you immune to the other half of the bullets on screen. Eating bullets builds up another homing shot.
Enemies are black and white. You want to kill them in groups of 3, like in RSG, but you can switch colors in between chains. Music is great, atmosphere is awesome. You'll like it.
