Dreamcast ports
Do you think it would be a good for company to port their dc efforts. With added new control setup. But still have supported for classic controller and gamecube controller. And new features like online play.I would be intrested in capcom games on the wii.Such as a power stone collection, but this time with online. You know cannon spike, street fighter 3

Jet Grind Radio would be cool if you could wave the Wiimote around for tagging.N64-Forever wrote:Do you think it would be a good for company to port their dc efforts. With added new control setup. But still have supported for classic controller and gamecube controller. And I am pretty surprised that Power Stone hasn't been ported to anything but the PSP or a sequel been made.
Samba De Amigo is supposedly on it's way.
As is Sega Bass Fishing.
Ikaruga is already on the Cube (and Wii playable)
Bangai-O is coming to the DS.
Space Channel 5 would be practical on the Wii
Rez would be nice, but so far XBLA is getting it.

No, it wouldn't. It would interrupt the flow of the gameplay. One of the worst habits of Wii development is over utilizing the Wiimote -- attempting to make it look and act like real life. The results are neither impressive nor engaging, simply gimmicky. It seems to me that the only successful Wii games are the ones which are designed around a Wiicentric control scheme -- Elebits, Rayman Rabbits. I'm going to give some spleen to Corruption -- the Wiimote works well as a shooter, but using it to pulland turn knobs is... just silly. Pulling and turning virtual knobs, for the sake of pulling and turning virtual knobs, is not immersive -- just annoying.
Mozgus used the word Cheesy in some topic awhile back. Its been haunting me. I haven't used it in so long, and it would have been appropriate for many topics of the years. I'm trying to resist an all out orgy with the word, for I think the world is now made of cheese. Regardless, how the Wiimote is utilized is, too often, cheesy.
I will say, there could be some benefit in this if the game allowed you to tag and make art freeform. Rendering obscenities is always fun, but more enjoyable still, is leaving a trail of illegible, illiterate stupidity in your wake. It would be the Jet Set Radio Special Edition.

How is it any more interruptive than using the analog stick?durkada wrote:racketboy wrote:

Re: Dreamcast ports
Yeah...sorry but the Wiimote would be much better for tagging. In fact, the whole tagging system should be redone on the Wii. Make it so your motions will actually affect the graphic on the surface.racketboy wrote:How is it any more interruptive than using the analog stick?durkada wrote:racketboy wrote:
