Crazy awesome N64!

Post by pankakes123 »

Got this awesome N64 2 days ago. So worth the 80 dollars. It's the Pokemon Pikachu N64, an old Toys R Us exclusive from what I understand. This is the coolest N64 I've ever seen by far.
Below are some pics of the system and controller. Also here is a link for my video of it if you're interested:

Nah, I'm not into collecting a bunch of different systems. I just bought this one cause I'm a HUGE Pokemon fan and I couldn't pass this one up. I can't see myself buying all the different colors though.

I have that 64 too and love it. I would love even more to have the orange one:

I also have this one:

And I'm just one controller away from having 4 unique Pokemon 64 controllers. I have the blue top, yellow bottom Pokemon one. Also the 2 different Japanese ones that say 'Pikachu Nintendo 64' on the face. The only one i need is the one which was actually sold in Australia (Yellow top, blue bottom Pokemon one, which came with the Pokemon 64 originally). I was recently snaked big time on an ebay auction for one.

I was watching those Pikachu ones on ebay for a while and they were all crazy expensive. Then someone in France put one up BIN about $75.00 with reasonable postage so I pounced, and was glad I did. Beautiful condition, even the attractive sticker of Ash telling you where the reset button is.

Just got it and I've been playing through it. Not nearly as bad as people say it is in my opinion. I'd give it a 6.5 or 7 out of 10.

This is the model of N64 I have too. I've never had any other one.

My friend has that. I stole the controller for emulation.

I have always hated this monstrosity. Mostly because of the huge Pikachu tumor on the side of it, makes the console asymmetrical which makes it look stupid. Perhaps if the Pikachu was smaller so the console was its regular shape, it wouldn't look nearly as bad.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I'll stick with my Watermelon Red, thanks.
