NES paint and reset button.
I am about to start doing a paint job on a NES and was wondering if anyone can link me to a great guide to how to dismantle and prep for paint. I also saw a guide a while ago that allowed to a reset button you could all that could be added to your controller, but i can not seem to find it again. Any ideas how?

Thank you, I re-read that 4 or 5 times and I just could not figure it out.Dylan wrote:Put a reset button on your controller?sabrage wrote:I... What?8bitgoldfish wrote:I also saw a guide a while ago that allowed to a reset button you could all that could be added to your controller

It could be done and only two wires needed jumping across the Console Reset button. I don't think you could tie in the existing controller wires though.
1. Add a button to the gamepad and run a separate two wire cord.
2. Go nuts and build a new controller cord with two additional wires under the insulation. You would still need a small extra two wire connector plugging separate of the gamepad connector.
3. My method. All my consoles are on a big coffee table along with my feet propped up. A tap of the toe to hit the NES Reset button and try a different game on a multicart.

I know 133MHz on Famicom World tried a method that would allow you to reset the NES like a Game Boy, check it out here: http://133fsb.wordpress.com/2009/09/05/ ... t-for-nes/
