Looking for a Wii arcade stick

Post by scarper »

Is there an arcade stick that will function as both a Gamecube controller and Wii controller? Right now, it seems like simply getting a GC stick is the best idea, since most Wii fighters allow use of any GC controller.

But hence the issue. Not all Wii games are GC controller compatible.

Answer to your question is no. There is the SC II arcade stick for Gamecube, and the TvC Stick or Hori stick for Wii.

Aaah, figured such. Thanks swift!! In that case, I'll probably just get the GC stick, since it has moar games that fit the arcade setting. A good replacement to it's piss poor d-pad as well.

If you get a SCII stick for the 'cube, be wary. Unless it is the Hori model, it sucks terribly.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Yep, I forgot to mention this as well.

I lucked out and Noise sold me an import-only Hori stick for the 'Cube a while back. If you can get ahold of that, you'll be good to go.

I think I might look into investing in an x-arcade dual stick. I hear the somewhat flimsy joysticks are extremely easy to replace with nicer ones. It has a 5-way adapter that goes with both the GameCube and the Wii, among other platforms.

Put the money in a PS1 or PS2 Arcade stick. Get a Mayflash Adaptor for the Wii and another controller adaptor for the Gamecube side. An advantage of going with a Playstation Arcade stick is the selection and adapters for other consoles.
