The official RB "how many hours should it take me?" thread

"How many hours should it take me to beat __________?"

I notice this is a pretty common question when discussing various games around here, so I thought a centralized thread for quick answers/estimates could be helpful. Certainly game length can be a major factor in decided which game to play next.

I'll start with these... how many hours on average would you estimate these games take to beat, keeping in mind that I'm not big on doing optional side-quests or trying to get 100% of anything:

Final Fantasy X-2

How many hours will it take me to beat Xenoblade Chronicles, given the following:

i run around trying to do every sidequest, i may afk up to 45 min.

Luke, I feel like it's possible you didn't actually understand the OP.

Ninja Gaiden: Between 30 minutes to an hour (less cut scenes).

Final Fantasy X2: I took a break after 10 hours, but given the game I would guess at least 40 hours.

I still don't think you understand. Nobody asked about Ninja Gaiden. The idea for the thread is for those of us who are like "oh I'd like to start THIS GAME, but I know I don't have XX hrs to put into it, so want to confirm what an average play-through should take a normal person who has never played it." I think yr Ninja Gaiden talk presumes that we're looking to keep tabs of how quickly we an beat a game. Not so.

Good thready noisey. Anyone who responds to these inquiries should state whether they completed sidequests and/or post-game quests and whether they used maps/walkthroughs. These things can affect game time tremendously, like by 20+ hours. I can't help with FF X-2 or DQ VIII unfortunately.
