To me, this all makes perfect sense. It follows the split timeline theory which derived from Ocarina of Time, but rather than the usual two-way, it splits into three sections: Adult Link, Young Link, and Link's Defeat.
I must say though, making a third universe based on Link dying seems like a cop out. The plotline overall makes sense, and lines up generally well, but still... seems fishy.

I agree with that timeline for the most part. Maybe it's just the aesthetics but I always assumed Four Sword Adventures was part of the Link to the Past.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
