Nintendo releases Official Zelda Timeline

Post by scarper »

Be warned, there are potential spoilers.

To me, this all makes perfect sense. It follows the split timeline theory which derived from Ocarina of Time, but rather than the usual two-way, it splits into three sections: Adult Link, Young Link, and Link's Defeat.

I must say though, making a third universe based on Link dying seems like a cop out. The plotline overall makes sense, and lines up generally well, but still... seems fishy.

It's funny, because the games are intentionally not connected, while many Zelda games intentionally are.

I agree with that timeline for the most part. Maybe it's just the aesthetics but I always assumed Four Sword Adventures was part of the Link to the Past.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

It's a dark part of Link's past that we'd all rather forget.
