What 3 Games Do You Want To See Announced for XBLA?

Post by racketboy »

If you could pick any three games for XBox Live Arcade with full online and offline multiplayer, what would they be?

My picks are:
X-Men Arcade
Guardian Heroes
Powerstone 2

Oh man, definitely X-Men Arcade. Rondo of Blood would be great, but I'll have that on PSP this month. I was enjoying Fatal Fury for the whole day I had it before my 360 broke, A good KOF release would be a must buy.

I would be ok with just one game coming to XBLA:

Herzog Zwei... Can you imagine this one multiplayer? Damn I loved this back in the day. XBLA seems the perfect home for it. Come on Technosoft!

It would be great if they updated it some, to support more than 2 players etc. And new maps. But even if it was a straight Genesis port, I'd purchase it in a second.

Forget X-Men, I'd take:

Battletoads arcade
The Simpsons Arcade
Any one of Capcom's awesome arcade beat'em ups like Aliens vs Predator, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs, Armored Warrior. Though if I had to pick just one of Capcom's beat'em ups, I'd probably go with Battle Circuit.

I'll give the runner up position to Sunset Riders, given how they butchered both console versions.

Edit:I'm actually pretty mad they didn't release Simpson Arcade to promote the movie. Missed opportunity

I take it we are talking about remade games.

Guardian heroes - redone in HD with online multiplayer would be great. Crap I would be happy with celshaded graphics with the 2D gameplay. You could even have content download for more stages and paths throughout the game.

Radiant Silvergun - completely redone. Only mention this one because I don't have a saturn anymore and there has been rumors.

Road Rash - Either remade or a new one; modeled after the genesis games or the first one to come out for saturn, ps1, 3DO. 16 player online races. :)

Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike (doesn't need to be in HD, just making it online would be enough)

Marvel Vs Capcom 2 (same)

Mr Driller

Jet Set Willy Online (not kidding)

Radiant Silvergun
Gunstar Heroes
X-Men arcade

I'll add a fourth - the original Ridge Racer in HD with 14-person multiplayer.

RC Pro Am (M$ owns Rare, c'mon!)

Monopoly (I actually see this coming a reality with EA doing Hasbro games now, Monopoly will either come on its own disc or XBLA)

Mystical Ninja Starring Goemon (Konami is on good terms with M$, no?... this was a great N64 title)

Runner up: Super Off Road with full Microsoft 360 wheel accessory support for that true arcade feeling.

I'm going over 3 games here but I just thought of another one that would be nice: Earthworm Jim.
