Fanboy Fansites

Post by o.pwuaioc »

You know why I like Racketboy so much? As a whole, it severely lacks the "fanboyism" that I see rampant in other forums. It seems like so many other game forums have a whole lot of serious haters that are intent on shitting on everything but what's beloved. Don't get me wrong, it's no problem to state your opinion, positive or negative, but when the sole purpose of a forum as a whole is to glorify one product and deride the rest, it really, really turns me off of that forum. Sega-16 is probably the worst that I've seen. Ugh, ugh.

Indeed, i see the fanboys nature are not that strong in RB and that is the same reason i like it.

Im suprise that there are not any big arguments during the released of mw3 and bf3 lol.

I feel as if RacketBoy has mostly Dreamcast/Saturn/NeoGeo fans than lets say SNES/N64/PS1/PS2, maybe they enjoy the more rare and hard to find obscurities, but i have a Dreamcast and i doubt ill ever find it to be something revolutionary, it will be the first to go if i ever decide to cut down lol.

But im not about to bash in someones topic about fanboyism, i wish i had a Dreamcast when they launched, it had some badass graphics when it launched, but i was still neck deep into N64.

Haha yeah there are some people here who can read a threat about anything and somehow make it about the pc engine or something. You know who you are
But we all like what we like. But yeah it is nice to have somewhere to go and just talk about whatever system or game you want to and know that there will be someone else interested and willing to help you out or just agree with you on how awesome something is. Not that there isn't some hating here but still.

Re: Racketboy's fanboys: I feel as if even the die-hard PC Engine or Dreamcast or Saturn evangelists on this forum do not push the forum over the edge into pure fanboyism, nor do they only preach one system and consistently and unfairly hate on others. This place is rather balanced, and that's the big difference. I see a lot of hate elsewhere, I see a lot of love here. We can agree to disagree (for the most part, just don't talk politics, religion, or ethics).

With who? I have to know where you stand before I tell you about the coup.
