i find searching for this on google very difficult because all i get a lists for the xbox 360 so i ask this here.

Re: list of shmups released in america or region free for Ox
Off the top of my head:
Retail:
Muchi Muchi Pork/Pink Sweets (region free import)
Espgaluda II Black Label (region free import)
Mushihimesama Futari 1.5 (region free import)
Dodonpachi Ressurection (PAL import - works on NTSC-U but not NTSC-J)
Deathsmiles
Raiden IV
Raiden Fighters Aces
Otomedius Excellent
Bullet Soul (region free import)
Eschatos (region free import)
There's a ton on XBLA, especially if you include the indie store...I'll let someone else tackle that.
EDIT: NEVERMIND

Um, Xyanide is kind of a shmup, though not a good one. Can't think of anything else...

Gamefaqs says that in the US there's Xyanide... and 3 Metal Slug games, which are run-n-guns. So yeah.

You may have to resort to the classics compilations, which are actually decent. I'm a big fan of the Capcom ones.
Capcom classics collections vol. 1 and 2
Namco museum 50th anniversary
Midway arcade treasures
And of course Psyvariar 2 for the Jpn Xbox, but that won't help you out unless you've modded.

hmm i have those for my ps2 already i find it amusing how loaded the ps2 is with shmups and how devoid of them the oxbox is and its the opposite with this generation with the xbox360 being the king of shmups same is sorta true for rpgs too lolshallowgamer wrote:You may have to resort to the classics compilations, which are actually decent. Taito Legends 2 is littered with an assortment of wonderful shumps! It was released for PAL territories, but it's region free.
No need to thank me lol!
