Anybody Watch Deal or No Deal?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Anybody Watch Deal or No Deal?

Post by racketboy »

I've been watching it the last couple nights.
While the game doesn't really take any skill (just luck), it is still entertaining.
It's fun to watch to see how greedy and risky the people are.
Not sure if I'll watch it forever, but for now I'll be interested

Is that the one with the host Howie Mandel?

Yeah, it's a pretty good game show. Strange as it may seem Howie Mandel was a guest star on a talk show and talked about the fact that he had OCD and was a compulsive handwasher and germaphobe. Now I'm watching it to see if he shakes anyones hand or touches anything:)

We have our own version here in Australia. Recently they were doing some celebrity shows and they just added a 'double or nothing' option.

There was a guy on last night that was doing awesome and at one point he had an offer for like $138,000
He ended up trying to get more and kept going down. Ended up settling for like $20,000.

He kept listening to his stupid friends (like they cared -- it wasn't their money)

After watching it a few times I've determined that if you get an offer of $100,000 or more, you better take it, cause after that you're pushing your luck way too much

I hate how their stupid guests come on and say "NO DEAL" When it isn't their money on the line....gosh that show stresses the hell out of me. ^^ It's great!

My personal favorite is from one of the first weeks here in the US.
There was the husband and the parents of this lady.

When it really got far into the game, she had a really nice offer and her parents told her to keep going while the husband encouraged her to take the offer.

Real nice parents... make the daughter choose between the two.

It was a good one last night. The girl ended up getting $375,000. (Even though she had $400,000 in her case).

She pushed her luck way more than I would have...

yea, I saw that one too. I ended up having to download prison break because I was waiting for it to come on on NBC, when it was on fox.
