PAL UK Dreamcast Advice, Would Be Much Appreciated

Post by GunstarHero10k »

Hello Everyone! :)

I am from England and a Newbie to the Racketboy forum. Unfortunately I don't have many gaming friends or people that I can go to for advice about Retro gaming.

My intention is to gauge whether my Dreamcast could be of value to anybody? I understand that this is not the Marketplace section of the forum. I was just hoping to get feedback from the Racketboy community on the value of my DC. I am not expecting it to be worth lots, I was just surprised that Arcade Sticks are very expensive at the moment.

Please find attached my Picture.
1x Dreamcast
2x Arcade Sticks
4x Controllers, 3x Vibration Packs, 2x VMU's
1x DC VGA Box
1x RF Adaptor
Headhunter, Virtua Tennis and Dead or Alive 2

Thank you for your help,

Best Wishes,

Gunstar.

That's quite a collection. As a US Dreamcast fan, that would be an excellent starter package for someone new (in the PAL territories) to the console, with a complete controller set, VGA box, a few games, and some other equipment. Value wise? If I put that as an Ebay set here, I'd go no lower than $100 (65£ or 75 Euros with current conversion)-- but as an auction value I'd expect to see $150 (96£ or 112 Euros), maybe more if a few people fight over it. I wouldn't set out to make a profit on it, but I would price it just as a bundle and attractively enough to get a few interested PAL DC fans on it.

Hit EBay, Craigs List and Amazon for price ideas
A nice Collection. You will definitely get more money if you sold the pieces separately. Before you do hunt down the PAL game REZ. You might decide to keep the dreamcast after playing that Gem.

Thanks ExedExes for your pricing expertise, it has been very useful. And thanks CRTGAMER for your informed advice, very helpful. Rez is a fantastic game, I've only ever played it on PS2. I bet it looks great on the VGA box. I've gone back to school as a mature student and don't really have time to play any Dreamcast. It is a fantastic system though, I will be sad to see it go. :) But hope it will bring others lots of fun.

Cheers Guys! Really appreciate it!
