Best controller for Power Stone?

Post by sega dude »

I've been playing alot of Power Stone lately and I've been using the standard dreamcast controller. It feels restrictive (for lack of better word). What controller do you recommend for playing Power Stone?

How are you gripping the DC controller? I used to get that feeling too.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

are you asking in terms of different brands of controller? Or like do we recommend an arcade stick? I have played quite a bit of power stone and never felt that the controller was restricting honestly.

Exactly! This is why I asked the question. There is no restriction that I feel when playing powerstone with a DC controller.

I have the official arcade stick, and I have mixed feelings about playing Power Stone with it. I always play with my friend, and we swap controllers after every match, but he still very consistently whoops my ass every time we play. So I'm inclined to say that either the controller doesn't matter, or I simply haven't gotten used to the stick yet.

I always liked playing it with a stick, but thats because it is just easier on my hands and lets me get combos off easier. I dont think it is any better than playing with a controller, just a personal preference.

Power Stone has very simple controls so it would work fine with the normal controller. An arcade stick would work fine as well. I have played a lot of Power Stone with both types of controllers and didn't have any problems.

By the way, Power Stone is one of my favorite games. Anyone in California want to meet and play it with me? The more skilled you are, the better.

Anyone try playing it on PSP? I've been considering picking up the compilation.

I have the PSP version. It's pretty good but the load times are very long. They added some new characters and items to the first game. Power Stone 2 sucks, so I don't bother with that one.
