Radiant Silvergun Definate Possibility on XBLA
Heres the orginal article on 1up.com

My favorite part: "However, he mentioned that it would be a much bigger undertaking, as Treasure would like to actually redo elements of the game -- basically, enhance it with high resolution visuals to make it more current."
No simple ports for Treasure.

Im a proud owner of radiant silvergun, i do not want to see the re-released.
no because im scared that it will de-value my game, its just that i want to keep it mystic esoteric quality (if that makes any sense to anyone)
please dont ask, thats just how i feel.
anyways, it wont be the same, nothing like playing radiant on sega saturn and getting the feeling of
"wow, i cant believe they did that on a saturn"
i just feel that once people play it on a xbox 360, these modern gamers may bring the game down because they are desensitized with superior modern graphix and bring the game down.
leave it on a saturn treasure, please!!

Oh yeah, they'll listen to you; the minority. They won't listen to the majority, waving cash in the airclaudio wrote:Im a proud owner of radiant silvergun, i do not want to see the re-released.

Well i know, if i was treasure i would look to make money as well, thats one of the reasons i said before,Mozgus wrote:Oh yeah, they'll listen to you; the minority. but then again, mabye treasure survives on the legacy of radiant silvergun, if they re-release a game that wowed gamers on the saturn, the wow affect will be desensitized to demanding modern games and make treasure a less reputable company.

I, too, am nervous about re-tooling graphics for modern system ports. Like, Super Mario All Stars on the SNES - SMB1 just wasn't as fun on that as it is on the NES. It just didn't *feel* right. Same game, same levels and mechanics, but it just was wrong somehow.
Then again, I'm dying to grab Marathon 2: Durandal on XBLA

If that's the case, at least you can still play the original....extrarice wrote:I, too, am nervous about re-tooling graphics for modern system ports. Absolutely. Though, some remakes have managed to keep the feel of the original - The Legend of Zelda for the Super Famicom satellite service, for instance.racketboy wrote:If that's the case, at least you can still play the original....extrarice wrote:I, too, am nervous about re-tooling graphics for modern system ports.
